JAPANESE ART PAPERS

These Japanese Art Papers can be used for making original art works. While some are dyed, others are natural papers, bleached by snow and sunshine. Some are very smooth and even, while others are crinkled or have visible threads and fibres. Depending on their weight and other characteristics they can be used for drawing, painting, calligraphy, printmaking, stitching, dyeing, chine collé and collage, including Chigiri-e, which uses torn and layered papers.

I recommend Yamato Nori paste for use with all Japanese papers.

My selection is small, but I plan to expand it, and can order many other art papers if there's one you want that I don't have, or you'd like bigger sheets. Just ask!
