LaPaletta has a small art gallery with art created by a number of artists in different mediums. Our main market for pictures includes holiday visitors and holiday home owners from the region. More often than not, they would like to buy art made by local artists. At the same time, I would like to support local artists by offering an opportunity to showcase their work.

My call out to local artists is as follows:

If you would like to have your art featured exclusively in one of my windows at LaPaletta for a period of a month at a time, please get in touch.

If you would like to take part in a regular open call for pictures that fit a specific theme, here's the plan:

Starting in July 2023, there will be 4 x 2-month themes  for the busiest times of the year. These 2-month periods are: High Summer (July & August); Late Summer (September & October); Winter (mid-December to mid-February), and Early Spring (mid-February to mid-April). The themes are intended to be relevant to our location, but open to interpretation and may be interpreted in an abstract or figurative. Local artists (from the Surselva region of Graubünden) are welcome to submit one work that fits the theme each time, maximum size 70 x 70 cm, including paintings, drawings, art prints or collages (but not photographs). Works should be framed appropriately and ready to hang. Artists can set their price themselves, (and in the event of a sale, an agreed percentage of the price is kept by LaPaletta). Pictures should be delivered to LaPaletta in the week before the new 2-month period begins, and unsold pictures should be collected in the week after the 2-month period ends. For the first High Summer period, pictures will be accepted any time in July 2023.
